Getting your PH Domain Just Got Easier
dotPH, the official Philippine Domain Registry, recently launched its new Waitlist service. The feature gives domain registrants a chance to get the domain they've always wanted. By signing up for the Waitlist, a prospective registrant is first in line to get a domain that expires and is not renewed.
The Waitlist is a boon to those who have always wanted a particular domain that
has already been registered by someone else. It spares them the bother of having to keep checking to see if the domain they want has become available. And they can rest easy knowing that if the current registrant does not renew the domain, it will be registered on their behalf.
The cost of signing up for the Waitlist service is the same as registering a domain. If the current registrant renews the domain or the person on the Waitlist simply gets tired of waiting for the domain to expire, he can use the Waitlist fee to register an available domain. He can even choose to Waitlist another domain instead, at no extra charge.
The dotPH Waitlist service is the first to be implemented by a Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) Registry. It is the latest in a line of value-added services rolled out by dotPH in the past 18 months, including an improved Website, a Shared Registry System and Web/Mail forwarding.
"We're enhancing the value of the PH domain by providing services that meet the needs of prospective registrants," said Joel Disini of dotPH. "We want to make the experience of registering and owning a PH domain as easy and convenient as possible."
